Angelia Lynn Buhr is the Co-Founder and Lead Designer of Buhr Design and Development Group, also doing business as Angelia Lynn Designs, where she blends refined aesthetics with strategic execution to deliver highly customized and beautifully executed residential spaces. With more than two decades of experience, Angelia has grown her practice from a boutique interior design firm into a full-service design-build company offering turnkey project management from concept through completion.

Angelia is known for her unwavering passion for quality in design, organization, and professionalism in project management. Her meticulous approach to every detail ,whether it’s selecting materials, developing layouts, or overseeing installation, ensures that every element aligns with her clients’ goals and lifestyle.

After launching NEST Design & Décor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Angelia built a loyal following through her thoughtful designs and approachable style. Upon relocating to Florida, she expanded her firm, Angelia Lynn Designs, to include complete remodels, custom furnishings, space planning, and window treatments—all grounded in her belief that great design should be as functional as it is beautiful.

A key to her success is her ability to cultivate strong partnerships with professional, reputable trades, ensuring that every phase of construction is handled with integrity and craftsmanship. Her leadership fosters a culture of trust and collaboration on every job site, resulting in smooth workflows and superior outcomes.

With a previous 20-year background as Director of Operations at a national staffing firm, Angelia brings seasoned business management skills to every project. Her rare combination of creative instinct and operational excellence makes her a driving force in both the field and the boardroom.

Dan Buhr is the CEO and co-founder of Buhr Design and Development Group, where he brings a rare blend of engineering precision, military discipline, and strategic vision to the design-build industry. With a foundation in electrical engineering and nearly 20 years of service as a U.S. Navy Commander, Dan has spent his career solving complex technical challenges—now redirected toward designing and delivering high-performance homes with lasting impact.

Dan launched a design firm with his wife in 2018. Together, they have grown the business from a boutique interior design firm into a full-scale development group that seamlessly integrates architecture, construction, and interiors. Their shared mission is to craft thoughtful, enduring spaces while guiding homeowners through a streamlined and transparent project experience.

Before entering the world of residential development, Dan served as Senior Principal Strategic Development Manager at Collins Aerospace, where he led innovation initiatives and long-term strategic planning. He also served as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Iowa State University, mentoring young engineers and helping to shape the future of the aerospace industry.

Dan is deeply passionate about renewable energy and sustainable design, with a focus on solar integration and energy-efficient home systems. His technical expertise and values-driven leadership make him a key force behind Buhr Design and Development Group’s growing role in green building and smart home innovation.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Webster University. He continues to advocate for forward-thinking design that improves lives, conserves resources, and pushes boundaries in the built environment.
